I hadn't watched this video in some time, great stuff.

Also from the same pre-show rehearsal in the link below: Jerry Douglas taking the lead vocal, "On A Monday." He recorded this on his most recent JD solo album, Traveler.

He is playing his Beard JD Signature Blackbeard equipped with the Hipshot DoubleShot which had just hit the market at the time.

With the lever in the "up" position he is in Open D, and capoed at the 2nd fret which essentially makes it Open E.
