Folks, I'm proud to be organizing the Rick Alexander Non-Pedal Room upstairs at the Jamboree. I'm doing all I can to make this year's event as good as it can be... we've arranged for drapes and lights, and there will be a 12" riser across the west end of the room so everyone will be able to see. In addition, I'm bringing some of our Austin Steel Guitar Co-op pro backup musicians to be dedicated to the Room... we will have bass (Charlie Irwin) and drums (Ron Erwin) available. Carco Clave, Mark Mosley, and Ivan Reddington will be covering armpit (Spanish) guitar duties. Quilter and Telonics have graciously volunteered to provide amps for the backline. Rose Sinclair and Bob Blair will be swapping off on emcee and I've also got Michael Greer and Mike Misetich to help wrangle the stage. I'll be videoing, of course... every performer will get a copy of their performance, and I'll be posting videos with artist approval.

Normally by this time we have published a list of performers and a schedule for the Room. Half of the list usually consists of folks that Albert Talley has arranged to come upstairs and perform for us.

The present hotel situation has not given Albert time to contact the talent... so I'm asking for your help. If you are on the list downstairs and can come upstairs and do a 30min set for us, please let me know. Or, if you are attending and think you can contribute, feel free to contact me as well... something like a YouTube video will influence me greatly. My personal email is:

Here is my current list of confirmed talent:
Carco Clave
Doug Jernigan (via Carco)
Billy Robinson
Billy Phelps
Rose Sinclair
Bob Blair
Margie Mays
Kevin Brown
Ivan Reddington
Roger Edgington
Albert Talley
Olli Haavisto (with Bob)

All talent, please feel free to give me your three preferred time slots, examine the downstairs schedule:

and work around it. We'll run 30-40min sets from 10am to 6pm. Again, sorry for the disorganization and thanks in advance for your help.
