--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you will email me I can send it, but I can't get the Excel spreadsheet to paste into the window.
The long & short of it is:
It is a basic C6 tuning with the D on top (not G).

Pedal 1 raises G string to A
Pedal 2 raises both E's to F
Those two pedals equal the A &B pedals but are pitched to the key of C. (Moving from the I chord to the !V chord)

Pedal 3 is a Franklin change that raises F to A, A (string Cool to C & C (string 7) to D. It gives a very cool open scale for Am & C major.

Pedals 4 - 7 are the standard C6 pedals.

LKL raises both C's to C# and serves in regular C6 style but also as the E - F change when playing E9 style.
LKR lowers both A's to G# - a Buddy Emmons change.
LKV is the reverse pedal 6 change for standard C6
RKL - lowers both C's to B - the very cool C6 change but also serves as the E to Eb change for E9 style
RKR raises both A's to Bb/B on a half stop.

So by moving my foot to the far left I can play E9 style licks but pitched two whole steps lower - and the D on top = the F# note on the E9 tuning. So the only thing I am missing is the D# second string - which I get with knee levers.

If I want to play jazz & swing I just move my foot to it's usual resting place in front of pedal 5 (= Pedal 6 on a regular C6 setup.

The guitar in case runs about 50 lbs & is light compact and gives me the majority of the E9 stuff and ALL the C6 stuff you could ever imagine!

That's the approach I use, but I raised it to D6th to get closer to the E9th timbre when I'm playing the money gigs. Razz

I don't lower both C's (D's in my case) on the knee because it messes with some standard C6th voicings. I use a bar slant instead on the lower one.

as cool as this is for me I think ill just

get a second guitar and set it up for true c6

in the future it be mostly for home use anyway

on gigs around here if you play western swing

or jazz the dancers have that dear in the
headlights look on there faces......hehe

Hi again Mike,
One thing I did do was go to an unwound G string - it pulled better & sounded good for E9 licks & no loss on C6. I tried Bob's D6 and thought it was great too. But went back to C6. The primary downside to the C6 Universal is if you are doing a lot of radio covers…. trying to play Don't Rock the Jukebox in it's native key requires you start at the 14th fret & head into the stratosphere for the solo.

BUT!!! If you are working with an Americana/Alt Country band the C6 Uni is ideal…..
