I'll be selling some higher $ musical equipment in the near future, and I dread the prospect of using feebay.
Does anyone have feedback to share using the Reverb website?
Of course I'll be putting them up for sale on the Forum as my 1st choice.(Don't want to be sacrilegious). But, these are not steel guitar related items.
Based upon what I've read, Reverb appears to be a better site, in some ways, for sellers - lower fees, run by musicians for example.
Any input would be helpful. Especially negative.
Thank you.
Wasn't sure where to post this. Seemed like WTB was best |

The fees on Reverb are MUCH lower than Ebay.
It's been my experience that if you're in a hurry to sell, or need the money quick, you'd be better off on Ebay, because the traffic is SO much higher.
In the last 6 months, I've sold 3 electric guitars for over $1000 each, and a double-neck lap steel for $500+.
All were listed here on SGF, TDPRI, Reverb and Ebay. They were all listed as BIN OBO. The 3 electric guitars sold relatively quickly on Ebay, and the lap steel sold on Reverb, but it took longer. I wish they'd all sold here or Reverb, as Ebay's exorbitant fee is awful for sellers (10%), but alas, I needed the dough, so . . . . _________________ Some songs I've written |

I closed my account on Reverb, after I sold couple guitars, and then they told me I wont get my money until buyer received the guitar... I don't ship my things out before I receive the payment, 0n eBay you ship your things out after you receive the payment... so reverb doesn't work for me _________________ www.steelguitarsonline.com |
