Hi all, I am not sure if this post belongs here, if not please feel free to move.

I recently bought Marian's Stringmaster from a fellow musician from SoCal. It is a 1955 Stringmaster with 2 added pedals operating on strings 4567.

The guitar is now with me in Barcelona where I live, and after some work on the electrics and rust is now playing amazingly.

I don't know if anyone knows anything about this guitar but if you do, I would love to know more about it.

The seller told me that he bought the guitar from TK Smith, and before that it belonged to RC Allen, and before that it was Marian´s and the pedals were added by Marian's husband.

I have sent an email to TK Smith asking for more info too.

Thanks for your help in advance!

All I know, is that Shot Jackson would add pedals to a non-pedal steel prior to building the Sho~Bud guitar.

Any chance of seeing a picture of the mechanism?

Stephen, in case you missed them, there are some rather interesting photos of this guitar here:

...and scroll down a bit.

I think that someone involved with the photos may have been a little confused. I, too, would like to see a couple of clear shots of the mechanisms.

Hi all, I posted the pictures of the mechanism bit if you need more. let me know.

It is a pretty simple mechanism but a lot of thinking and care went into it.

If you happen to have any info on it please let me know!

cheers
