I am looking at a Pro II Custom, probably from around 1979, with these features:

1. 8 narrow pedals
2. 4 teardrop knee levers
3. teardrop keyhead
4. round cross bars
5. 2-hole bell cranks with swivels
6. double raise/double lower changer
7. natural color
8. raised fretboard

My question is: are the knee lever brackets and/or the top of the changer fingers (or any other parts) pot metal (zinc) or aluminum?

Any intelligent guesses?

Thanks,
Rainer

From your description the pulling fingers should be aluminum. Ed Naylor Steel Guitar Works.

Ed is correct. And the the only knee brackets that were chromed pot metal; were the ones that the straight knees screwed onto....so your safe there too..ha...Your good to go.
