Pat Coyne called me not long ago to tell me about Buddie Jenettes' passing. He was a very special friend and musician, singer, and the 'King of country' in downtown Pegram, Tennessee. Buddie worked with Jeff Newman at a club in Nashville in the 70s and Jeff took him to St. Louis to be the featured singer on his set. Buddy was a huge Haggard fan and a very close friend to Tommy Collins. He was a great singer and Tele player as well as fiddle. I met him 30years ago when I moved to Pegram and played a lot of gigs with him in the Nashville area thru the years. My prayers go up for his precious wife Dot and their children. He will be missed by me and his many friends. |

Russ, I'm sure you know how much Weldon loved pickin' with Buddy. They shared the same love for the "old country music". They could also do some "serious talkin' as well as pickin'!
My best to you Russ,
