Hi Everybody!

My name is Merlin, and I live in the Nashville, Tennessee area. If you have any questions, you can call me at (615)305-1186

This is an Emmons Black Mica SD10 for the price of $3200. Free shipping! Serial number # 563L

No Games, No Gimmicks, just selling off this guitar since I'm not using it much.

This guitar is a great investment, and will only go up in value over a period of time, as they become more rare and harder to purchase and locate.

It is a wonderful guitar, and first and foremost, it is an Emmons. These single neck double frame Black Mica 10 String 3 pedals and 4 knee levers with armrest pad on the back of the frame is perhaps Emmons most popular model. It is a LeGrande (NOT a Legrande II or III) and plays great and sounds incredible. If you haven't played an Emmons, or owned one, then this is your chance.

I don't like people that misrepresent items for sale, and I know that you don't either. This is simply a REALLY COOL pedal steel guitar, that is still ready to entertain people, and offer a lifetime of enjoyment to it's owner.

This is an Emmons Pedal Steel Guitar that has a pedigree with it.

I can tell you that I got this guitar from my late, best friend, Barry "Byrd" Burton in 2005. Byrd was a founding member of The Amazing Rhythm Aces Band, and played Telecaster on their recording of "Third Rate Romance" and won a Grammy for their recording of "The End Is Not In Sight". Byrd also played the guitar parts on Don Williams, "Living On Tulsa Time", and played guitar for Nanci Griffith, Dolly Parton, Judy Rodman, Kathy Mattea, and many others.

Byrd ordered this guitar new, and played it with Brooks and Dunn in the early 1990's. This guitar has been played in studios around Nashville ,and on various recordings that Byrd played on.

We lost Byrd in March 2008, due to cancer. I'll always miss him greatly, and he made a huge impact in my life.

I can tell you that this guitar isn't new, and has some wear on it, but hasn't been abused or damaged. It is simply a good, used quality instrument.

I have great emotional attachment to this guitar, but I simply am not using it right now, and would like for someone else to be using it. It's a great guitar, and has a George L pickup installed in it. The case shows wear of doing over 200 shows per year with Brooks and Dunn for a couple years. The case is actually just fine, and protects the guitar well.

You can buy cheaper guitars, and you may find a guitar that plays and sounds good, but it won't be an Emmons, and it won't be THIS guitar.

God Bless you, and take care as you travel the highways and backroads of our great country.

Thanks for taking a look at this fabulous guitar!

I built this guitar and remember fondly when Byrd ordered it from me.

Only a few numbers offf my D10 SKH (561l). I don't know how the s/n sequencing runs for emmons , but that would possibly make it an 1982/3 model... IMHO, some of the best sounding emmons came of that era. This is an awesome guitar and worth the asking price.
Good luck with your sale.

I also have this guitar's twin but with a 4 pedal 6 kl combintion and would not part with it for anything, it's s/n 718L so again in that Early 80's era . Wonderful emmons sound..
A bump for Merlin's guitar.

I have a 1983 Legrande SKH (171L). I purchased mine in 2005.It has original single coil pups, Of all the guitars I've had since 1974 they have all been resold this one is simply not for sale. As I have heard others say the only way this guitar is leaving me is when they take it from my cold dead hands,
