It can be used for all sorts

Has a mic input for a neve style preamp as well as a jack input

Sounds like a EQ boost pedal...think that blown out preamp sound the Beatles had on revolution

It's a great preamp and guitar pedal

I have no skin in the game here and don't even know the seller. But...

I have one of these pedals and I love it. It approximates the full, over-driven sound of a direct input signal into a Neve console. Think George Harrison's direct sound on "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" or John Lennon's guitar sound on "Revolution." It sounds great running into a Fender amp.

Every time I try it onstage, our guitarist Jedd Hughes says something positive about the sound afterwards.
