My new steel seat arrived as promised on the 15th. of May, and Mr.Walker my bum thanks you
it is a fantastic bit of kit, very comfortable
and my only wish is that I could have had it about 35 years ago!!!
Advice for new players:- When you first start playing with all that desire and enthusiasm (did I spell that right?) you forget that you are sitting on a rock!! and 20 or 30 years is gone in a heartbeat!
sort your bum out! it ain`t cheap but you only got to do it once, and it is so worth it!!!! Thanks again Mr.Walker for a great product>>>>>> |

Well John first off let it be me who thanks you for trying the Walker Seat. Personally I sat on one of those rocks you speak of and so I know what I didn't want a seat to feel like and that's why I made the cushion the way I did. And second...I made it to last a lifetime because I never wanted that feeling to go away. It's true I put a lot into the seat but I know there are folks like you who are willing to get the best there is and I have done my level best to insure that a Walker Seat is the most comfortable seat on the market and it will last and last and last. Again I want to thank you John from the bottom of my heart for giving my seat a try and I thank all of you who are sitting on that seat today. I have established a dealer network of the finest people you would ever want to do business with so please visit with them and see what you've been missing.

For anyone who's never tried a Walker seat you're missing something. I got mine at the MASGA jam in Wilson, NC a while back and am really happy with it. I have the wide model with the back and the extra compartment on the side which is nice. I put all my extra strings, cutter, winder, and tuner right there beside me and If I pop a string I don't have to even get up like I did with my old ShoBud seat. This thing has a lot of extras you won't find on other seats such as powder coated legs, and a strap to secure the seat back. Ray put a lot of thought into his seats. Have a good 'un...JH

Jim, Sorry if I bunged your email up,I have sent you the pictures RW sent to me and I am not very clever with computers! If they do come out ok you will get a good idea of what the seat looks like, but you really have to sit on one to get the full picture!!

I love the feel and it'll last a lot longer that I will.

Thanks a million guys for all the kind words. Simply put...it's the best seat in the house, and all of you who have tried it please tell your friends, so they can get that "soothing" relief as well .
Bobbe Seymour???? Yep he's sittin on one finally. I tried to get his old rag of a seat from him so I could mount it in my office for all the world to see but he refuses to let go of it. Hmmmmm you think it's perhaps a sentimental thing like maybe a gift from his ex-wife. I mean...why else??P: Now tell the truth Bobbe...since you started using a Walker seat...hasn't your tone improved just a tad?? And no..you are not 10 foot tall and you can't walk on water...but you CAN sure as heck play.
Thanks again to all of you

Jerry....I am sorry I didn't acknowledge your post and all I can say is that I must have scanned down through it and didn't see it. Folks Jerry is a very unique and accomplished player who has a style that is fun to watch and a pleasure to listen to. I was extremely happy the day he bought a Walker Seat and am very proud to say he uses the seat. You know I've been thinking that the Walker Seat will help your tone...but gosh alive I'm sittin on one too and my steel don't sound nothin like Jerry's .

Well if I were independantly wealthy I would make em and give em away for the fun of it all. Unfortunately, it costs so much to make a seat of that caliber that it is simply not possible to do that. You see...when you can buy one get one free on a deal it's a pretty safe bet that whoever offers that is overcharging the consumer to begin with. The fact is that the manufacturers of these type products can mass produce whatever it is they are "giving" away in a third world country at slave labor wages and then sell it to the consumer at an inflated price and then say "BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE" if you buy today we will send you (2). You gotta laugh at them and understand that no one trying to make a modest living is even able to do that. But then again...if I were independantly wealthy????HMMMMM
Take care my friend.

Before I got my Walker Seat playing gigs and setting for 2 or 3 hours I would become tired the old back would tighten up. But now, no more back trouble! The seat really works, try one you'll see------ |

In reference to the Walker Seats, let me say this. I first saw a Walker Seat at our Mid-Atlantic Steel Guitar JAM in Wilson, NC several months ago. I was admiring the quality and workmanship that was put into the product. I was telling a man that walked up to me about how picky that I am for perfection to detail, and that whoever made this seat could definitely please me with their workmanship. He introduced himself as Ray Walker!
Well, I have been to Ray's home on two occasions since then, and he will be making me a Walker Seat also. Also, Ray and his family are some really nice people to deal with. If you want the best in materials and perfection to detail and workmanship like I do, then a Walker Seat is the ONLY seat to have! Thanks Ray! I can't wait to get my seat from you. Vann |

Ray makes a great seat! I bought one several months ago, and am sorry I did not do it sooner. My butt sincerely appreciates the time and care Ray has spent putting those seats together. He has to be the maker of the "top" seat being made now. For the many hours we all spend sitting on one, a few well spent bucks for the Walker seat is a fine investment.. |

I got a Walker Seat from my Dad for Christmas. It is still in perfect condition. Then again i do not have many gigs. The other day at the Steel Guitar Convention in Deer Park, i was sitting in my seat from 10-3. That was on e of the best, most comfortable days ever. Thank you Mr. Walker for making such a great seat!

Ray is your seat a limited production thing or are there people in Europe that actually stock it?, There is some interest expressed from other players I meet. |

Bob Simmons...thanks, I sent you an e-mail
Ryan Giese....it's great to see you on this thread and thank you so very much for your kind words. You have a great Dad who cares a great deal for you and is extremely proud of you.
John Davis... while Walker seats are being shipped all over the world now...at this moment all Walker Seat Dealers are here in the US. That is subject to change in the future and I will certainly keep everyone updated.
While I thank you all graciously for your wonderful reviews of the Walker Seats, I would also like to remind you all that I am still just a small company and I build every single seat one at a time. I would never want to mass produce this seat because my old age and limited wisdom tells me that when one does that.. a certain amount of quality must be compromised and I simply don't want to ever see that happen to this seat. Thanks again and a million times over to each and every one of you.

I am 240 lbs. I have been playing steel for 25+ years and have owned 4 seats in that time. The Walker seat is without a doubt the most comfortable, the strongest most solid and stable seat I have owned. ..... |
