I really want to go to my trusty Musicman 65 non reverb head for steel. I have a line on a JBL d130f that's needs a re-cone and a JBL made d130f 4 ohm speaker made for Peavey that has been tested ok, at a price that's cheaper than re-coning the genuine JBL. Can you buy a re-cone kit for the Peavey speaker that is for a 4 ohm speaker in case it needs it in the future ? How does it sound compared to the regular d130f ? Any advice would be appreciated. BTW I have tested the head with the eminence speaker in my Reno 400 and decided that was the route I wanted to travel.....I know that some here have some disdain for the MusicMan amps.

I would go for the JBL made for Peavey because it is cheaper and may be original. The D130, D130f, K140, K130 have the exact same baskets and magnets as far as I know. The one made for Peavey should be the same. All can be reconed to whatever JBL specs you are into.

Musicman amps are fantastic !
