Hi folks,
I am thinking of selling one of my Franklin guitars. No final decision so far. No trades just a straight sale.
Let me know if you interested and maybe we can work something out. The guitars are in Germany right now but I am coming to Dallas and would be able to take one with me.
To make it a little more interesting I have two to choose from. Attached a few pics at least for your entertainment. 
The red one has 9+5 and the teakwood has 9+7. This one is in mint condition. The red shows some wear.

| Ive heard Franklins have welded bellcranks. Is that true? If so it seems like they would be a pain to change around. Beautiful guitars!! |

I've never heard that. I don't think they are, but I've been wrong before.

Forgive my ignorance, but I am not seeing anything for splits on these guitars. Was than an optional request or do I need new glasses?

Well the good news. You don't need glasses. Franklin splits are done with and extra rod as were Carter and several other makes.
As for price. Manfred is very good friends with Paul Sr. So he's well aware of market prices. If you're looking to buy under the money? I don't see that happening. But, you can always E-mail - PM and ask.  He might offer the deal of the century.
Disclaimer. I have no vested interest here. Or any idea what the prices might be.

To me that's why actually posting a price posted a price might be helpful. Most of us know that Franklins are not cheap compared to other steels but prices even on Franklins have been known to differ. A number of players also may want to know. stevet |

A quick search of the last Frank sold revealed this. However this is and older guitar with only 4 knee's. Perhaps this will give you an idea of what a Franklin can bring. But you'll still need to E-mail or P.M. Mr Schall for his price...Hope this helps. But doubt you feel better.
(EDIT) Several that contacted Mr.Schall e-mailed me his asking prices. I was surprised at how reasonable they are. A real bargain in my opinion. So I removed the link to the above mention sale. Because, I felt it could deter folks from inquiring about the prices.
If these are still available? Well worth looking into for the serious Franklin buyer. My apogee's for butting in. Only trying to help. Sometimes good intentions can do more harm than good. This was one of those times.
