Where can I find some good casters for a Peavey Session 500 or 400? I want the good stuff.
Thanks

You can buy amp casters at most any large music store, or get them from Amazon.com (which is probably the cheapest way to go). Price will be $25-$35 per set for the plug-in style, and slightly less for the permanent (screw-in) style. |

Dwight, Mcmaster-Carr has a huge selection of great industrial quality casters. I too plan on getting some for my session 400 in the future. Most of the tools are american made for same prices as the import stuff from local hardware stores also.

I buy a lot of stuff from www.parts-express.com located near Cincinnati. Good folks, good products, great service. Good selection of casters on their site. Enter casters in the search box for a couple pages of returns. |

I tore the snot out of my Steel King rolling across asphalt parking lots. The reverb got broke. Luckily I can fix stuff. A larger wheeled dolly is much smoother. _________________ Emmons SKH Le Grande, '73 Fender P/J bass, Tick tack bass, Regal high strung, USA Nashville 112. |

Harbor Freight, is the least expensive place I've found, to get good quality wheels. They have different sizes, with ball bearings on the turning plates. They have rubber wheels of different diameters. On Peaveys, I put one of the wheel mounting holes in the metal corner screw, to locate it. Then all you have to do, is add the other three screws. Saves measuring to locate the wheels. I think you have to remove the rubber feet too. I always grease the ball bearings, before using. -Jake- |
