I Had one 2/3 the size of this one at one time. Got it at a hock shop of all places. When I sent it to Paul Sr. to tune up he sent this picture back with my D-10. I was just wondering if any of the Forum folks had seen this one "on the job" so to speak.

If only. I'm way too old for a triple neck. That is some machine. Must be worth a small fortune. _________________ Show Pro D10 - amber (8+6), MSA D10 Legend XL Signature - redburst (9+6), Sho-Bud Pro 111 Custom (8+6), Emmons black Push-Pull D10 (8+5), Zum D10 (8x8), Hudson pedal resonator. Not to pre-empt Paul Jr., but I was told he had a guitar with a "baritone" E9 neck, one tuned an octave below the standard E9.
Could this be that guitar, Pablo? _________________ My rig: Infinity and Telonics.
Son, we live in a world with walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with steel guitars. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinberg? |

Looking at the strings, I think you're on the right track. The rear neck has some beefy strings, AND 1 and 2 are thinner than 3. _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)

A beautiful guitar, a baritone E9 neck is very appealing...and gosh, it can't weigh much more than my Sierra D-10! _________________ Sierra Crown D-10 |

it's a tank! i can't imagine why anyone would want a baritone neck....especially attached to an already big steel...unless you happened to be a very popular studio musician with multiple needs. |

As for weight. A D-10 Franklin is the lightest D-10 I've ever handled. I would be surprised if this guitar weights more than an Emmons PP with 9 and 7. The type-weight of case would make a big difference. |

Hmm. 3 necks...9 pedals...9 knee levers...with the right tools you could make 3 S-10's... |

I got to see this guitar in Knoxville at Stoney's steel show in the 90's. Paul Sr had it sitting on a table in their booth. Nice looking guitar. I think he said A and B pedals worked on the third neck too. Same pulls as the E9 neck.
