Jack Smith w/ single-neck Zum & Fender (or Evans) amp. This was videotaped just a few months before he passed away as a result of a tragic car accident. He was a GREAT one!

Here’s a young Jack with the Happy Goodmans. “This is Just What Heaven Means to Me”

Here’s another song: I like his background comping (?) on this one. Is this a ZB guitar???

Love Vestal’s hairdo on this one…but the steel work is pretty cool too! Yes, a ZB...and a Fender Twin Reverb in the background (I think)!

The Lighthouse…great licks and wonderful vocal performance too!

Rest in peace Jack! I imagine you are back performing now in a better place with Vestal and Howard. Thanks for the memories. You are missed!

Thank you all for watching and listening!

Don,

Thanks for posting. I love the Happy Goodmans. They were wonderful people. I know that first hand because I had the privilege of being one of their bus driver's for a short period during the time Steve Easter was playing steel (Emmons and Session 500).

They were so kind, and they were the real deal. We still have a part of Rusty here on Earth; his daughter Tanya.
Rest in Peace: Rusty, Sam, Howard and Vestal, and Jack Smith.
