In my steel guitar there's a Bill Lawrence 710 pickup with 2 wires, black and white. From what I understand the white one is hot and the black wire is ground. On my guitar the black wire is soldered to the tip of the jack, so theoretically the wrong way around?
Would this affect the tone or doesn't it matter, since there is only one pickup, no tone controls or switches?
Thanks! _________________ ----------------------------------

I could do the experiment, but if not necessary, I'd rather leave it like it is. _________________ ----------------------------------
