I use the brand that Jackson Steel Guitar Co. puts on their guitars, but when it's time to change strings, I'll use George L's. On my Emmons and GFI guitars, I used SIT's.

I like Cobra Coils...very consistent tonality from set to set, and they last a very long time. I've used many other brands, but none seem as good as the CCs...IMHO.

Live Steel Strings on my Zum and also my 6 string lead guitar. Unmatched tone, and longevity over everything I've ever used!

Cobra Coil from http://www.steelguitarsofnashville.com/

They have incredible longevity and excellent tonal qualities.

Pat, there not the cryogenic strings, but I would like to try them.
They also have the cryogenic tone bars and even guitar frets.
Just about anything metal on a guitar you can get it cryogenic.
My wife was cryogenically frozen, she's 130 years old, but looks
like she's 25.<><>YAY FOR ME !!!!!!!

George L's "Nashville Gauges" SS Wound strings. I've used them on my Franklin since they came out in the early 80's.

George L's stainless for me.

I liked them so much is the reason I became a George L's dealer.

the best strings, the best picks, the best effects, the best volum pedal, the best amp, the best pedal steel?....
The best is in our heart and is what we believe that we make a good sound and that we love to play pedal steel guitar!...
(But I accept to prefer Live Strings... Smile )

I'm a firm believer in GHS Boomers! I've never used a string that I like any better. Good tone, and they LAST!!!

I use the GHS Super Steels, I like their tone. But I suppose that with all these different choices, it would be to YOUR taste.

Mike Wilkerson, how are those NYXL strings? I've been meaning to order a custom set after watching their video of NYXL and other brands being tested on their string stretching machine, and the NYXL outlasted the other brands by a wide margin. But how do they sound to you??? Thanks.

On my Sho-Bud I like Live Steel Strings or Frenchy's Silent Wound strings equally.
On my JCH Jagwire stainless sounds better than those 2.
