I realise steel guitar tunings are all over the place and subject to improvisation. I was just twisting the knobs and came up with a C6 variant that has a bit more bluesy bite to it, but I can't figure how to 'label' it. I did a search on the web to no avail.

CFGACF

the E goes a half step up to F. What does it become? Guess it's not really critical to label it. It sounds funky and fun!

I'd call it Fadd9.

Fadd9. If you imagine lowering everything a 1/2 step, it'll make more sense (B E F# G# B E). Lower the 5th string to Eb and you'll have F9 (I have often used E9, same tuning 1/2 step lower).
