I'm doing it again. As if I don't have enough trouble remembering which setup I have on which guitar I'm changing things again. I have played E13th non pedal for several years now. While trying to fake an E9th pedal guitar sound on my MSA D12 Superslide I realized th E by puting the same tuning on a pedal guitar I could play all the E9th stuff, all the E13th stuff and all the C6th that I will ever need on a S12. I started by experimenting on a 10 string by tuni g as follows.
F#,Eb,G#,E,C#,B,G#,F#,E,B.
Works great. I still have all the E9th stuff and Eth except for low E. By adding a couple floor pedals and a couple knee lever changes I essentially have ABC pedals, Cth pedals 5,6 & 7. Every E9th knee change I alreadt had and more. I have a new Show Pro S12 being built that will have the complete setup, all on 5x6. It should be interesting.

What is your open string tuning intentions on the 12 string?

I made a major spreadsheet comparison between E9 B6 and E9E6 one time and the latter gave more standard changes with less levers and pedals.

My E9B6 copedant is very compact at 5x5... but need more access to the larger pallette of 6th changes..so I am going to be changing things up too.

Johnny,
I like it. At one time I had considered going to that setup. Johnny King, Zane King's Dad wanted me to merge Zane Beck and Julian's Tuning together. Hey, are you still playing through a Line 6?

Dan

Dan, that's kinda what I'm doing. I use a PODXT and a M9 at Baldknobbers. When I use and amp its the Telonics 500B.

Off topic. . But want to say that you and Rusty Rhoads duet of Secret Love, jazz style, is great. How did that arrangement come about? PM me if you don't want to divert the thread and I will delete this.
