What material are the changer fingers made of on the Emmons push pull steels?

Aluminum. Early versions were cast, then later just machined from extruded material. I don't know the chronology but others may chime in.

Interesting, 2024 is a copper alloy. Were the cast fingers some sort of copper alloyed aluminum too?

Chris Lucker has mentioned this a number of times in reference to some of the very early Emmons' he owns. It may have only been on the very early (and rare) guitars. Perhaps he will chime in here.
