Does anyone out there have any information on the 'Framus Blue Lady' SL800/1 lap steel guitar? I read that it featured a 'major/minor' change...what was involved there? Any details appreciated! |

Other than the Framus Vintage website, I have no information on those lap steels. They weren't common in the US. _________________ Brad’s Page of Steel

Those pop up on German Ebay every now and then and from what I hear they're really good instruments. The changer supposedly has three positions per string that can be switched with a (per string) lever. I'm not sure how much the changes can be adjusted, from one (German) forum post it sounded as if they're limited to a half step each (half up, normal, half down). |

Thanks, Jan. I'm assuming that the tuning is pre-set prior to playing, and that it isn't variable on a particular string during playing? ( as can be done with the Deusenberg Multibender) |

Tony,
I have seen forum member Kay Das post a video here in the past using one of these guitars and he was operating the changer during the song, its not meant to operate like a palm pedal multibender though.
