Can anyone tell me the model(part) number of a set of gold Sperzel tuning machines that will fit on a 1973 LDG ? I would prefer a gear ratio of at least 16:1 or higher if possible. Also where can they be purchased? Thanks, Martin.

A 1973 LDG originally was drilled and tapped for a Grover 102 Rotomatic-style machine. Grover 102's are still available, as are Schaller tuners that are an exact retrofit (though the knobs are slightly different) for Rotomatics. I think Gotoh makes a set as well.

Both the Grovers and the Gotohs come in gold as well as chrome.
