The year anniversary is fast approaching since I ordered a custom tone bar.
Still nothing. Anyone seen or heard from Jan as this is getting a bit much for my patience.
Shame really as the craftsmanship looks awesome. Ask Peter funk.
Is it wrong the the player in me still wants it???
While the customer in me says that the service isn't up to par. _________________ Stefan

Have you tried contacting them directly? Do they answer their email or phone as listed on their website?
I don't know if the two gentlemen pictured on their website are SGF members or not. Posting here rather than dealing with them directly seems like a waste of time.
I wish you good luck resolving this issue. _________________ Brad’s Page of Steel

Posting here helped Brad. Someone who knew them personally was able to reach them. And then they got in touch with me.
Looks like they will be focusing on just slides and no longer tone bars for the near future. _________________ Stefan

It also helped me in that I now know not to order from that company. |

I always appreciate a heads up on things that could apply to us. Bars are not cheap and I would hate to order and not get my order or money back. If you are in business you have an obligation to respond unless you are dead. |

When the groove topped dobro bars came out from this company four years ago they were initially being touted as the greatest thing since sliced bread. Had to do with the coating material and how nicely the bar would glide across the strings. Beautiful to look at as well in the photos we saw
Then after some folks jumped on board and placed their orders a number players were posting on Reso-Nation and finding a greenish material coming off on their hands. Oxidation, and some players were finding the surface that contacted the strings to be wearing quickly.
Apparently the coating formula was changed later by the company owners, but I think with the hard core dobro players who don't mind spending top dollar (or pounds...or euros) for quality gear, the damage was done and enthusiasm for the product seems to have waned. _________________ Mark |

I love the Idea of that Peter's One bar--a stevens bar with bullnose and a thumb hole on the back, for reverse slants. That seems like the ideal bar to me. Does anyone else make one like that? |
