Here we go again: This may show my ignorance but I don't know--so I'll ask. Can you tell the difference between single and dual coil by their appearance. The reacon I ask is because the Sho-Bud I recently bought has no hum what so ever---even with the pedal to the metal. I can tell the difference in most pick ups by looking but I'm not sure about Sho-Bud's. I'm thinking this guitar may have dual coils in it but I can't tell my looking. Help me----Eddie |

Well since you can't tell by looking and we can't tell by NOT looking; then Eddie if you can explain the pickup in question(if you don't have a picture) in detail; then I bet I can tell you exactly what pickup is in there???
What does it look like?> are there single round magnets on top in a row...or two rows or are they a blade type magnet with one or two blades?? or does it look like two single pickups sitting side by side with round magnets on top of each?? or is it a square box type pickup with what On top??? And how is it mounted???

Seems like the easiest way to tell would be if they have three wires, or do the single coils have three also? |

Eddie, If you believe the pickup to be the original to the guitar, it should have a switch for the split. Sounds like you got one of the really good one, if it's that quiet. I have an original in my LDG and it is quiet and sounds awesome, but it's quite microphonic. Which is typical after some years. Lots of body noise. But, who cares? Jeff Surratt- Marrs Custom shop |

Ricky & Jeff: Thanks for your intrest. They are single coils with a tap switch. Jeff: do you have a set of pedal rods for a Super Pro or can you make them? Please advise. Thanks---Eddie |

Yes Eddie, I have a new shipment of pedal rods just in and can cut to any lenght. They are great looking for any steel. We use these on all of our rebuilds and repairs. They are 8.00 dollars each plus actual shipping charges. These type of orders can usually go out in one to two days. Thank you, Jeff
PS Thanks to all those who have found out about us and are using our services. We appreciate your patience. Sometimes it takes a little while to locate each particular part, but, we never quit looking or trying to find a source. And, as you all know some items are very rare. Luckily, Duane is a "pack rat" and doesn't throw anything away.
