Anyone ever heard of this model. It looks very cheep not well made. Just started working on it. have not tried to play it yet.
Needs new strings and checkup, tunning.
3 pedals 1 knee. Very basic, verry light.

ernie

I misread it is a Mark 1

Ernest,

the guitar is probably a Market-Rite Mark I Thinline, made in the seventies. Market-Rite sold steel guitar kits as well as finished guitars. My first PSG in 1978 was a Thinline kit (149.00 U.S.$).

The changer is single raise OR lower, meaning you can either raise or lower a string, not both. The knee lever is spring loaded and lowers 2 to D and 8 to D#. The pullrods attach to the cross bars by a yoke that balances the pulls.

Mine had cast aluminum pedals and cast aluminum wrap-around endplates, wooden pedal-bar and simple tube legs. The height can only be adjusted with the little thumb screws that hold the legs in the endplate sockets.

The guitar is tuned similar to a push/pull: the highest pitch at the keyhead, the lowest with an allen wrench at the endplate.

If I can help you in any way, please email me.

Rainer
