SOLD!

Here's a nice 1951 Oahu six string lap steel with original hard case, cloth cable w/screw-on connector and the original (1950) brochure. The Mother Of Toilet Seat (pearloid plastic) covering is in beautiful shape with just a few light scratches. String through pickup sounds great and the pots aren't scratchy. All of the chrome looks great except for some pitting on the pickup cover, which I removed to play anyway. The two nuts for the pickup cover would have originally had a plastic covering on them.

The tuners are not original but they work fine and the guitar holds its tuning quite well. The cloth-insulated guitar cable works too. Very nice hard case with just a little corner wear. The 8-page brochure contains everything you need to know about the care of your Electric Hawaiian Guitar. The serial number of this one puts it at late 1951. I'm asking $240.00 + shipping. I'll knock off $10 if you don't want the brochure. Wink

John, I used to have a slightly more beat up version of that same Oahu amp. Sold it about eight years ago and have many times wished I hadn't. Let me know if you ever want to part with yours. Of course, I'd have to sell some more stuff to buy it - dagnabbit.

Another bump before it goes to the dreaded auction site.

Please Close. Sold on Reverb.com (as opposed to the dreaded auction site). Buyer got there from here though, so a donation is forthcoming.
