Hi Guys,

I have been using cleartune for a while now and it is great although when tuning on stage the app is picking up the stage noise even though my guitar is connected to my iPhone via an irig.

Is there any way to avoid this?

Thanks in advance.

Ben

Odd. The android version does that by default.
You might want to share the method with the other Apple users.

Thanks Lane.

For the iPhone users, to disable your microphone through clear tune

Go to settings/privacy/microphone/clear tune app, turn the microphone off.

This will allow the signal only to be picked up through the relevant adapter e.g. Irig or Peterson adapter.

Hope this is helpful.

What am I missing? If I disable the microphone for Cleartune (or iStrobosoft) I get nothing using the Peterson adapter. I even bought a new adapter and tried several working 1/4" cables. Nothing. ??

Have you tried making phone calls with a wired headset? You might have a bad jack in the phone.

Doesn't work with my old iPhone 4 either, so I don't think that's it. But maybe I have something switched off in settings, just no idea what.

Hi Dan,

your not the only one. I thought I had fixed the issue but it is not working.

I have sent an enquiry through to cleartune support to try and sort the issue out.

Will let you know when I have some answers.

Thanks, Ben. I sent in a request too, also one to Peterson since it's their cord and it doesn't work the iStroboSoft either.
