Hi All,
My uncle, Jack Needham, who makes beautiful acoustic guitars under the name Square Deal Guitar has recently started making lap steels. He's building a custom one to my specs and I'm wondering what people think about Lollar pickups, Sentell pickups, and anybody else that makes a good seven-string pickup. Tonewise I prefer more of a Gibson sound than a Fender but I'm pretty open. I'd love some thoughts! Thanks! |

Jason Lollar's pickups are as fine as any I've ever had the pleasure of using. No experience with Sentell, though. _________________ Brad’s Page of Steel

Another thumbs up for Lollar. There may be other fine pickups out there but none better.

I had Jerry Sentell make me a thinline pickup for my 2pup rig and I was very satisfied. I have no experience with his more mainstream products. |
