I own a Sho-Bud 6140 and have decided it’s time to hang some knee levers. It has a rack and barrel system. The serial number puts it in the middle of ‘73. I would appreciate it if other Sho-Bud owners (or players) of this era (Pre-Pro I) would be kind enough to post some close-up pictures of the undercarriage of their Buds so I can get a better idea of the best way to mount the levers. Specifically, placement of the knee levers, mechanism, mounts, stop brackets and return springs. I’ve had some parts machined already since most are unavailable. I thought a lot about this since this six pedal model did not come with knee levers and most say it was intended for C6 tuning, but this guitar was set up with an E9 copedent. I love the way it plays and sounds and want to expand on the playability. I know lots of you out there have 6139’s and made modifications for that reason. Any help or additional advice would be appreciated.

Parts unavailable?,, That doesn't sound right...Those racks are in a lot of players junk boxes if thats what you want to use instead of lighter, smaller 2 hole pullers,, You try posting here looking for parts?? You need to contact Mike Yahl at PSGParts and have a talk with him.. he can get you set up... bob

If you are planning on deleting any pedals to make room for levers, you can trade them easily for any parts you might need to Bud guys on this forum.. Those pedals are getting scarce and are highly sought after... bob
