She's young, born in '86, and Australian, but none of that matters. She's been on stage with Jeff Beck and Herbie Hancock among others
and already shows great musical sensibilities. This link starts with tunes from her album Transformations and includes live performances
from the previous decade.

Here she is buying a U-Bass. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ynqTbbUmaew
I need one of these. B0b does too.

Yeah, she gets it done. I've seen her on TV spots several times in the past few years, mostly with Jeff Beck.

'Bout dat bass...interesting tiny scale U-bass. Those strings remind me of the old Guild bass with the rubber band strings. Laughing

She's not exactly new; I missed the tv spots, only just now 'discovered' her. But she's fresh. Something about the music reminds me of the 70's.

Yeah, those strings do, I remember them. A Scandinavian fellow posted a video on the Forum of him playing a fretless U-bass. Too cool.

She's an amazing musician. Very deep rhythm, lots of chops and ideas, great ears, everything. In love with music completely.

I bought the used CD of Transformation, because how can you go wrong with Wayne Krantz and Keith Carlock and Geoff Keezer. This what I'm talking about:

Yep. She must have lots of gear to get those kind of musicians behind her. Hancock and Beck don't hurt.
The sound just gives me ... that old feeling, and that's not bad, something that takes me to somewhere familiar.
She's going through lots of evolution of jazz fusion and may be out there with something really new someday if she can keep her head.

I agree with Craig. I've always been a Jeff Beck fan and I really enjoyed the "Live at Ronnie Scott's" DVD. She's got a lot of poise, confidence, and talent at a young age and seemed to effortlessly click with Beck's guitar playing.

She was amazing w Jeff Beck, first I'd seen of her. Thanks for the link Mike Neer. This is the kind of jazzy grooving I love to listen to, great stuff.

I love watching her with Jeff Beck. They work so well together.

I wouldn't mind a U-Bass. They sound good, and they aren't very expensive as basses go.

I first saw her at NAMM with Jimmy Bruno when he started endorsing Sadowsky guitars. She showed up kinda scruffy with a gig bag over her shoulder. Pretty sure she was a Sadowsky endorser also at that point. She had no problem keeping up with JB and she was what?..about 18 at the time. Been a fan ever since.

I first became aware of her when I saw a video of Jeff Beck's "Cause we've ended as lovers" on YouTube and she did an amazing bass solo. It was a ballad but she literally smoked that bass and looked like she was only about fifteen years old at the time which was 2007 I believe... She's small in stature but a giant heavyweight in the world of bass guitar..........JH in Va.
