I want to go to a complete OS X/iOS rig. I plan on using my MacBook Pro and or my iPad for my effects rig.
I'm looking for a single interface that will work with both my phone and my laptop to use for guitar in and audio out to go to a direct box. (1/4 inch outputs)
Anyone have suggestions? I was looking at the sonic port, apogee jam, and irig pro duo. Went to GC and was just more confused. They also had an mbox mini on close out.
I'm looking at using main stage for my effects.

Adam,
As I understand it, Mbox only works with protools, which should come with the Mbox as a scaled down version. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. 
Other than that, I have had great luck with a MOTU I/O which should also come with a scaled down program.
The phone part of it I can't help you with.
Too many tacos & too little time.
