I have for sale or trade a MIJ 87-88 E-Series Fender Squire Stratocaster. These are great guitars that were made 84ish-late 88.

For sale is a beautiful 1987 candy apple red squire strat by fender this is the E series & if you are familiar with these series guitars they are much better quality ,sound & play ability than many of the US series & the MIM of today, The pickups' professionally changed out & replaced with Seymour Duncan 50s strat pickups, (150.00) it has normal fret wear but no where near a fret job. There is a scuff or paint chip about the size of a dime on the bottom of the guitar other than that it is in excellent condition I am third owner. The tremolo arm in the case , comes in a fender fitted case, SN# E823496 new strings low action killer tone , This is guitar is to be in no way to be compared with the new squire series strats of today. The owner bought the guitar new in august of 1988 & paid 308.00 for it, you will not regret buying this one, trust me! Thanks For Looking.

LOWERED to $400 + shipping.....or might consider trades. NO guitars please.

I own an E series strat and can honestly say its the best strat I ever played. The quality on these early Japanese made strats is unbelievable. This guitar is a bargain and if I didn't already own one I'd make this mine. Good luck with your sale

Thanks William, agree totally. I think the "Squire" mind set causes people to shy away.

I've been told that the Japanese Fenders from this era are quite fantastic. From what I understand, most of the Fender line was being produced in Japan at the time.

I've gotten rid of a few guitars over the years, but I won't let go of my 1986 MIJ Strat. A friend of mine has a 3 pickup Squire Tele from that era, and it remains his go-to electric.

Chuck, will you take 350.00? Sorry to ask you that out here in the open, but b0b Mad has reduced me to "half-member" status--I can't send PMs, and my email may or may not work. If it weren't for the MIJ guitars, Fender would not exist today. My opinion.

I would consider trading toward a Zum encore and pay the difference.
