This isn't perfect, or even close, but it has a moment or two

Your musical background translates very well to the steel guitar, particularly given the short amount of time you've been at it.

I've been at it some 30 years longer and I'd love to have some "moments" like that.

Fine selection to demonstrate your playing as well.
Thanks for sharing. Enjoyed it a lot.

Thank you, Jerry! I appreciate you taking the time to listen and comment.

I know I have a long way to go, but since I've started trying to play this music in public on the steel, I figured posting it here would help me get some feedback from all of you experienced guys, and get me over my "steel shyness"!

John!

Truer words were never spoken, my friend!

I am truly grateful Reece suggested that it was the tuning I was best suited for - like so many other things that amazing man said, it was 100% spot on. It seems like the whole universe is at my fingertips, if I just study long enough to figure it out....

Bb6 UNI is where I live, in pedal steel world. I have no plans to move, although over time I might build an addiction or 2, if I feel the need

I really liked this, Christopher. It has quite a few moments and gains moment as it goes along. Good jazz, really nice chord and playing.
'Yesterdays' came on right after. Great vehicle for pedal steel, and not bad backing tracks with steel up front.

Thank you Charles - glad you liked it!

The backing tracks on both were from the app iReal Pro. I just saved it as audio and imported them into Pro Tools. Even though computer generated backing tracks aren't even close to the real thing, it does help to keep me honest, as best I'm able, with the tuning....

Thanks Sez! I have appreciated your input and ideas, can't wait to hang out in Phoenix!

The app is so simple, like Band in a Box, but serving the added purpose of the much needed changes to a particular tune on a gig - I love it

Wow! Thanks, Larry, for the kind words and for listening!

I sure hope I can pull it off live on Wednesday - that'll be the real test......
