I've been reading the "Off-Topic" discussions about flippers, profiteers, sharers, and a few people who are crazier than I am.
I'm not gonna start up on any of those topics, so relax. This a a "GOOD STEVIE" post.
I just bought a pedal--a "Visual Sound H2O" chorus and delay, in one pedal. Bought it from Bob Carlucci, who had an insanely low price on the listing-He paid all fees generated, too. Every time he sent me an email (I don't like doing that, but my PM privileges have been suspended by the Boss-man his self), Brother Bob Carlucci included a little note, stating that if there were ANY reason(s) at all that I didn't like the pedal, he'd be glad to take it back, for a full refund.
We'd all be better people, if we could think like that. So, here at the end of 2015, I nominate Bob as one of the finest guys to do business with, here on this Forum. He's a good man, a good steel player, and nice, to a fault. Bob, keep my email address handy. If you're selling something that I need, I'll take it.
And if Bob was running for President, he'd certainly have my vote. A good man, is Bob Carlucci. |

Brother Bob is a good man, indeed. And a good man to do business with. A straight shooter who tells it like he sees it. |

Where is "off-Topic"? I don't see it in the forum index. Thank you.

When I got my first Fender pedal steel a couple of years back, Bob Carlucci was willing to spend tons of time on the phone with me talking me through setups, copedents and such. He was a great help to me in learning to manage the cabled beast! Mr. Carlucci is a class act. _________________ Lots of stringy things, many of them slidey. |

Wow, I'm a big hit!... Thanks for the very kind words my friends.
Here's how I sell cheap whenever I can.. I BUY cheap. I usually don't buy stuff I can't break even on if I don't like it.
Lots of stuff comes from garage sales, local guys just trying to get rid of oddball stuff etc, or simply gear I don't use any more.. I am not going to get rich buying a $25 guitar and pricing it up to the moon.. Clean it, string it up, adjust the neck, cut the nut, make it play nice and ditch it for $100..
If I buy a piece of crap gear thats not working over the net, I get very angry, and know if I sell something thats not right, guys would be rightly pissed.. I don't want members here to think I'm a scammer. If something is not right, just take it back, no big deal. If I lose a few bucks shipping on a piece of gear when someone returns it, I will still eat that night. I DO appreciate the kind words from friends that have dealt with me over the years, its so nice to be appreciated for making the attempt to sell stuff reasonably... Like a lot of guys here, if I buy it right, I let it go right... bob _________________ I'm over the hill and hittin'rocks on the way down!

Yes +1 for Bob. I bought his Sho-Bud a while ago and had great dealings with him. Great communication and he offered me the same. If I didn't like it or didn't think it was properly described in the ad, I could ship it back for a full refund. I loved it and still play it every night! _________________ 1967 Emmons Bolt On, 1995 Mullen PRP 3x5,Nashville 112, JOYO Digital Delay, Goodrich Volume Pedal, Livesteel Strings |

Jason.. yeah, that was one I might have been better off keeping here. It actually stayed in tune better than most I have had around here, but for whatever reason, I never could get used the pedal feel... I never even thought about the old Bud pedals being a problem, for years they felt fine to me, but on the one I sold you, they were uncomfortable to me.. I chalked it up to the fact I was getting old and less physically capable, and let her go...As time went on, I could see by your posts that you were bonding with that guitar more and more each day, and it really made me glad. I am really so happy for you that its become the classic sweet old pedal steel that you were after.
My Bud is out there somewhere.. I find it one day.. bob _________________ I'm over the hill and hittin'rocks on the way down!

Yes, nice post, Steve.
I'd have to say the forum certainly proves out to be a great place to find honest folks and get treated really well on deals. Of course if there are people who'd like to make a bit on a steel item, this is a smart place to hang- although I get the impression there's often more to be made from a bidding system like ebay.
I've had so many fine, comfortable, dealings with great folks on the forum that i couldn't even begin to enumerate them. But Bob C is definitely top o' the heap.
Thanks everybody and best wishes for more good deals all around! _________________ Stop by the Steel Store at: www.markvanallen.com

Tony, Mark--You guys need to edit my name from your posts--I appreciate the kind words, I know and love you both, but there are a couple of bozos amongst this Forum, who are NOT my friends--Y'all might hear from 'em, and get insulted. Just sayin... |
