Rick Aiello is the expert and will probably see this and respond.

According to Rick Aiello's website, the original two knob guitars used 250K audio taper for both volume and tone and a .05uf capacitor.

Modern wiring scheme uses 250K or 500K for volume and tone and a 0.05uf or 0.1uf capacitor.
