Went to see Robert Randolph last night at the Narrows Center for the Arts in Fall River, MA.
All I can say it was an event that you have to experience to feel the energy and music that you would not associate with a pedal steel guitar. Robert also played lead guitar, drums and bass while other members of the band switched off with other instruments.
The night ended with a rendition of Purple Haze that Jimi Hendrix would have given a thumbs up.
Robert is not only a great musician but also a showman and loves what he does. Played for 2 solid hours and smiled, sang and danced. Standing ovations all night long. What a nightðŸ‘ðŸ‘ðŸ‘ðŸ‘ðŸ‘ðŸ‘ðŸ‘ðŸ‘ðŸ‘ðŸ‘👠|

Hi Lenny, I appreciate your posting about RR. Last year Elaine and I really enjoyed his outdoor performance in the same city thanks to you. This year Elaine and I were booked. |

Saw him right up close in the Wolf Den at the Mohegun Sun Casino couple of years ago and still think about it! _________________ Sierra S10 (three!), Peavey 112 and 115, Benoit dobro, Beard Model E dobro, Beard Roadophonic, MSA Superslide, Dean Nickless custom dobro |

I wasn't there but I can agree that RR is the real deal in sacred steel...... Woa to any steel guitar he gets behind.....
