Tagging on to Doug's Beaumier's generosity, here's my arrangement of a modern classic. Scroll down for #3 - the final version.

Silly question from a newbie. How do you play the chord in the 2nd measure? Since it's a tritone, it's not a two note slant. Forgive me I'm new....Probably a simple answer.

Not silly at all, Steve. Feel free to ask questions here. That split bar slant is played by using the nose of the bar to cover the first two strings. It works best using a bullet bar but is doable with most other types of bar as well.

Thanks sharing, Andy. It's a fun song to experiment with different chords and note choices.

That's a nice backing track. Newbie question; is it in the same key as the tab?

Andy, I think a good choice for the Eb13#11 chord in bar 2 is:

-------5-------
---------------
-------4-------
---------------
-------3-------
---------------

Contains everything you need: 3rd, b7, #11

Alex, yes. But there's an easy way to find out for yourself: play the first few chords against the backing track. How does it sound?

Mike, funny you should post that voicing because since posting the arrangement, that's the way I've been playing it plus including the 9th/F:

-----5-----
-----5-----
-----4-----
-----------
-----3-----
-----------

With the scale length and string spacing on my Magnatone I can play it in tune though I concede it might not be the case for all guitars. Vibrato and a wee bit of downward pressure on the nose of the bar help.

I also like this arpeggio as an alternate approach:

3rd time's the charm! Corrected for how I'm playing it now plus changed to the correct chords from the original sheet music.

Thanks so much for providing this tab, Andy. Inspired me to learn it and then post my first youtube for lapsteel:

I didn't do it verbatim to the tab but got it close for my ear anyway.

Very Cool Andy... thanks for sharing... I’ve been wanting to try this
on E9th, hope thats not blasphemy here Very Happy Very Happy ... anyhow, I’m finding
it difficult, but usually do on songs with big beautiful chords like this
until I finally get it mapped out. Laughing Laughing
