For both.. One is a 1965 Kent/Goyatone Polaris II solidbody.. The other is a Norma/Tombo solidbody.. Both are in good playable condition..All electronics work, and both play pretty well for cheap guitars with tiny brass frets,, The Kent finish is in very nice cond.. The Norma, has a lot of chipping and such on the sides, but still shines nicely and looks good.. I have scoured ebay several times for these models, and have seen both of these models regularly sell for between $200 each low on the low end to $250 each high.. Those prices are EACH and do not reflect shipping. Check ebay if you'd like.
I am asking $175 + shipping for BOTH these guitars.. Will only sell together, not going to separate.. This is a super deal for those guys that like these old MIJ guitars.. The Norma is missing the trem handle, and there is only one cheapo black cardboard case that goes with the deal, it fits either guitar.. these guitars are light enough to fit in one box, and thats how they will be shipped.. Price is firm.. I can sell them to a local guitar shop for what I am asking as they always buy my old weird stuff,, but maybe someone here likes the old MIJ guitars, and would play and enjoy them.. They play and intonate pretty well for what they are, but remember, these guitars sold for like $49 back in the mid 60's, they were NOT Gibsons.. The Kent is actually pretty well done, with the paddle switch aluminum pickguard, and better fit and finish.. The Norma is cool and all, but the Kent is certainly higher quality.. In any case, the price is right at $175 + shipping for the pair.. Please email directly!

I love these for slide guitar. Maybe not as many buttons and knobs as Hound Dog Taylor's, but sound just as good.
Bob and I have been wheeling and dealing back and forth for a long time. |

I somewhat recently acquired an mid-60s Kay Vanguard 3 (DeArmond p/u's) which sounds great as a bottleneck guitar. Well, it would sound better if someone other than me was playing bottleneck on it, but I'm learning.
Gotta love weird old guitars! |

Anyone who gets a kick out of guitars like these two will really dig this site. The fellow who writes the reviews is knowledgeable and passionate about these old beaters. But the fun really starts when his guitar tester puts them thru their paces. Check it out if you have a chance.
