What is the normal pull rod size and thread size for the
plastic tuning nuts???

Depends on the make. MSA and old Sho-Bud and others used â…›", and they range down to (I think) 5/64
The nylon isn't threaded, so it's not hugely important, but they're usually a pretty fine thread.

My MSA has 1/8 inch rods. The Emmons and Derby I have dealt with have 7/64 inch rods. My GFI has 3/32 inch rods. Most cut threads I have seen are either cut 6-32, 5-40 or 4-40 threads per inch on rods. Some rods have rolled threads that are of an odd size because on rolled threads, half the thread is rolled down into the rod and the other half raises up during the process. There is about 3 different size holes in the plastic tuning nuts. If you order them be sure to tell them the make of your guitar or have the rods measured so you can give them the exact rod size.
