I just received a used Steel Seat - Lite.. It can't weigh much more than 10lb. with all the metal edging.

I wanted something smaller and lighter for home use. The inside is about 3.5-4" tall so it's not going to hold tons of stuff like my full size does..

Thanks guys for the comments.

Give me a call Steve and we can talk about it.

The Aluminum trim does not weigh much and protects the seats for their normal use being hauled around.

Yes I do lots of custom work that is why I have about 12 models now.

Very Happy

I can leave the divider out on the inside --it weighs more than the aluminum trim. I do that for drummers, keyboard players, etc all the time

Joe,
I'm sure you've been asked this before, but are they plywood or pine?

Short answer neither

I have been using Light Weight MDF for about 6 years. That is why the seats are lighter than others. MDF is as strong as plywood but lighter.

All the trim except the hinges, latches and corners is aluminum.

Aluminum legs would knock off less than 1/2" and would take a different bender. The Leg benders are special built for all seat builders as far as I know.
Mine is special built for the smaller radius.
