If they didn't could a PP be converted?

Marty, I have never seen a 12 string Emmons LeGrande. I believe a push-pull body would be too short to mount a LeGrande changer. I guess anything is possible though! _________________ Emmons D-10, ST-10,LD-10 III, NV-112,Fender Deluxe Reverb. Authorized wholesale dealer musicorp.com! |

Marty,
I think a conversion would be possible.
I worked on an Emmons S-10 p/p that had been converted to an all pull at on time and then changed back again to a p/p.
It wasn't very pretty under the hood. |

Larry's is a p/p.
This has been asked before and I'm pretty sure the consensus was that there was never a 12-string LeGrande. _________________ Roger Rettig: Emmons D10, B-bender Teles, Martins, and a Gibson Super 400!

There are no 12st LeGrandes as far as I know. I tried to get them to build one for years.
I had a U12 PP that was an amazing guitar. Any 12 st PP could be converted by somebody that knows what they are doing. Bobby Bowman did mine. _________________ Bob |

Bob were the PPs only available on a double body or could you get a 1/2 pad style? _________________ RETIRED

I saw an Emmons PP S12 but i cant remember who owned it. The guy has a Zum, newer MSA, Sho Bud, and the Emmons , all 12 stringers..all single body .. and it was in Phila.

Marty - My S-12 P/P was on a "single wide" body. The neck was centered on the top deck, with no room for a pad. I have seen pictures of S-12's on wider bodies with a pad.
Here is the tuning on the guitar I had ---> Click Here

If you are planning on experimenting with copedent changes for a while. ... my suggestion is to make an Emmons S12 PP your second guitar.

Keep in mind a raise dominates in a push pull.
If you are like me you'll miss the all pull behavior whereby a half step lower combined with a full step raise on the same string provides a net half step raise.
I owned a PP S12 Emmons and wound up selling it for that reason and a few other negatives that prevented me from getting my complete universal tuning on it.
If you are looking for a guitar like an all pull but has the tuning stability with temperature that a push pull has - Kline. It's sort of all pull but with change stops at the end plate not at the pedal rod bell crank like in a common all pull. |
