I'm looking far a machine that I can transfer a CD song to, slow it down or speed it up, rewind it at certain spots, and add other songs too it. Sorry for the confusing technology. Please PM me directly if u can help. Thanks in advance Fred.

Fred, all you need is software to achieve those goals. I use Amazing Slow Downer and really like it, and it's available for your PC as well as Mac. I don't bother with Cd's, although they can be slowed down. You just drag audio files from wherever on your computer and ASD slows it down, changes key, matches the song to how your pedal steel is tuned, loops song segments, etc. For transcribing solos and songs the way I frequently do, it was the best $50 I ever spent.

Agreed, everything John just said.

AMAZING SLOW DOWNER

No need for a machine. Just this VERY affordable and amazing software on your computer will do worlds more than any of those old devices they used to sell. And it'll do it better and easier and cheaper.

I've used ASD for 10 years. Really love it. Mostly use it on my iPhone now.

Riffstation also does a great job at this, along with some other cool features. I did a review on episode 1 of the Pedal Steel Podcast:
