A buddy of mine and I are starting a duo (perhaps adding a bass player soon) and are interested in a band name that suggests swing music without being too on he nose about it. Lap steel and guitar.
We have a list but I was never great at thinking of good band names. Any suggestions? |

Well I've been saving this one up to use myself but it doesn't look like I'm ever going to get around to it so I might as well donate it if you like it: "The Consultants of Swing" _________________ www.JimCohen.com

Avoid any play on words. Use something interesting and strong. Don't type-cast yourselves. _________________ Don't go in the water after lunch. You'll get a cramp and drown. - Mother. |

If you're up for a laugh and have a Richard in the band you can use the name:
Swinging Dicks.
Remember you heard it here first. _________________ Stefan

That was good. Too good: At least two other bands out there called this. (According to Facebook.) |

All yours for a song title, Nate. No such thing as a bad pun. I think Cul de Sac Cowboys is a winner. I'd buy the t-shirt. _________________ ...but you are the music / while the music lasts (TS Eliot) |

My mind is racing haha...make it a kickin' blues/swing show band thing. Definitely with a horn section.
