They're still being made in Nebraska.
I think most people who know how to work on all-pull guitars could do it. Aren't Desert Rose guitars made in Phoenix? I bet Chuck Back could have it done pretty quickly for you.

For that matter, didn't Chuck buy up a lot of the Russ-ler parts at some point?

Thanks for the help and input I've contacted Chuck and taking the guitar to him.He knows the guy that originally owned the guitar from way back. His name was Buddy Wheeler and he played with my uncle Rod Hart back in the 70s and 80s.Does anybody on this forum know or remember Buddy? It was great talking with Chuck because this thing came full circle and I'm glad somebody that knew Buddy and my uncle Rod will be working on the guitar pretty cool story.

I wasn't aware that Russ-ler was still in business. I know Russ Hicks came out with a guitar and the name he used is Russler. I don't believe they are related.

Desert Rose is built in Tucson, I believe, if you can wait 6 or 7 months Fred Justice builds the Justice Guitar in Mesa and it is a top notch Pedal Steel Guitar. Kind of a waiting list right now as people are discovering what a few of us figured out a couple years ago. Justice Guitars are about the best that are currently available.
