Guys, I have the Stereo Steel and after trying several effects processors
I finally got the TC Electronics M-One XL (as recommended by GD Walker)

WOW. He is 100% right. This unit sounds hand-and-glove with the SS. Best sound I've ever had.

He also gave me his settings for the processor effects and they are several gorgeous
luscious reverbs, delays and others, and the kicker is I didn't even buy
the TC from him.

He's passionate about the sound we get from the SS and is extremely helpful no matter what the question or issue.

Just wanted to give him a shout out, and my thanks publicly.

I totally agree with you John. I have 2 Stereo Steel amps, but I don't
use the M-One XL anymore. It was too hard for an old man to program
and with my bad eyesight, I couldn't see the display to program it. So I
use a Lexicon MX300 in one and the Lexicon MX400 in the other one.
I love the Stereo Steel amps. They give me the sound I really like. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

I get what you're saying Carl, but check this out.
GD actually offered to let me send my M-ONE to him and he'd program it for free !
Just had to pay the postage. That's a heck of a guy.

I had a little troubyprogramming mine and he took the time to walk me thru a couple presets on the phone, after that it was very easy. I much prefer the sound of the M One to either of my Lexicons in the stereo steel, although my lexicons aren't the real expensive ones like some of y'all have.

Another "at-a-boy" for GD Walker. I called him this past Saturday afternoon with a question. he graciously answered it.

Not only did he answer the question concerning another manufacture's piece of equipment connectivity to his Stereo Steel, he gave me advice on processors and made me the same offer. He will program a processor that WAS NOT purchased from him.

Good stuff Walker Stereo Steel and great guy, Mr. Walker. Very Happy

You can't beat GD Walker. The products or the man. He was very gracious helping me out with questions and issues when I owned a SS rig.

I've had my SS for several years. Best rig I've ever owned.
GD is also a great musician.

I agree with the thumbs-up reports for GD Walker. I've been using the Stereo Steel amp and cabinets he built for me for 14 years now without a hitch, live and recording.

Along with building an awesome product comes the customer service which with GD Walker, is second to none.!! It's always fun talking to him about steel stuff too.

Sincerely,
Chris "Tiny" Olson

Man John, I have amp envy now ! Between the SS,milkman half&half, and the quilter, I can't decide what to save for..... All 3 are good lightweight and modern examples of amplification solutions.
