Hi Jim like they say you snooze you lose.May be next time .Looks like Marsha and Chuck no longer run the RISGA. I have no Idear why they would have the Rhode Island Steel Guitar Association in Fall River MA. in the first place. Those people up there are not interest in Steel Guitar. They are broke. If they had kept it in Rhode Island they would have done much better with a crowd of people. The New England Steel Guitar Association that Anna and I Started is still going and have over 70 members and have good amount of cash in the Bank. You take care and hope to see you again one of these days.

Hey Sam, first of all it’s not Marsha, its MARCIA! Second, we NEVER ran RISGA, since you left RISGA it is run by the members. Third, RISGA was not operated from Fall River Mass, it was Rhode Island we only had real steel shows in Fall River, MA. The venue was chosen and voted on by the members. Fourth, RISGA is NOT broke, but seeing as you are not a full fledged member that is none of your business. Further, the people up here are very interested in Steel Guitar and we run real jams. So get your story straight.

Sam, your bitterness shows through everything you write. It would be in your best interest to stop making posts using my wifes name or referring to her.

Jim, I apologize for using your post to do this. Knowing how fond you are of my wife I didn't think you would mind though.

Dearest New England Friends: I participated in one of your jams in E Greenwich RI some years ago. When I attempted to speak to some of your steel club members a few years later,I found myself in the midst of a feud. Living in NY I am neutral favoring neither RI nor MA. May I mediate to bring this feud to an end once and for all?

Sincerely,

MJP

If only there was some way to send a private message to someone directly, so the whole forum didn't have to be treated to the dirty laundry. Rolling Eyes

Michael, time for new batteries for your sarcasm detector. Wink I knew durn well how to send a PM - I was trying to make a gentle suggestion to the OP without being too confrontational.

No sarcasm intended. I see the Forum is alive and well where,"No good deed goes unpunished."

No, no, no - I was using sarcasm in saying if only there was a PM feature. I was making the point - obviously shared by others on here as well - that if the OP had sent a PM instead of starting a public thread, it would have been easier on everybody.

Everybody take a chill pill or a sip of your favorite spirits, and go back to whatever you were doing before all this came along! Laughing
