Here our my 2 Izzy's . I have to say these have been the most bang for the buck devices I have ever purchased. And Craig is one of the good guys out there building stuff for us. As you can tell by the picture these have been used alot they have been reliable and durable.

Thank you John.
Glad they've continued to serve you all of these years. Hope they sound better than they look.

The new ones are powder-coated; even if they stop working, they still look good.

Hi guys
I have a question if you would be so kind to answer.
If I leave my lil Izzi plunged into the steel does it wear the battery down when not in use

Hi Robert,
The battery drain on your Li'l Izzy is very, very low. You can keep Li'l Izzy plugged into the guitar at all times. This way the unit is not turned on and the battery will last it's normal shelf life. If you plug a cord into the output jack, the unit is now turned on and the battery will last slightly less than shelf life.

Best regards Robert, and thank you for using Li'l Izzy.

Sure cleans up the tone with my rig . Robert, I've had mine plugged in since April and changed the battery today, just to make sure it's ok at the Route 66 show . I think I've went as long as a year without changing it . I leave the input and output plugged in when not in use .Great product, Craig !

Comments like yours are why I keep the soldering iron handy.

Again, thank you Tony.

Kevin and John, some day I hope my Izzy get's that nice weathered look. Match her unfortunate user a little better. I may sound great, but she's making me look bad!

WOP! WOP!

No, I think I prefer my wear and tear the old fashioned way.

Just received my Lil Izzy and like to say this thing is amazing. I really can't believe how much it cleaned up my tone and clarity. I am very pleased with it, Thanks Craig

Tim, I've had mine on there a few months now and I finally unplugged it again just to see if the honeymoon was over, make sure i didn't have some sort of placebo effect and was surprised at how dull my rig sounded. It wasn't just darker, like I turned down the highs on the amp or switched a pickup or something, it was something else. It was the whole composition of sound that was affected. I plugged that Li'l Izzy back in again, and quick.

She may be little, but she is mighty...

Hey Daniel, I did the same thing. I thought I was getting pretty good tone before the Lil Izzy, but now when I unplug izzy everything just seems muffled and not in your face sort of speak. It really is amazing how much more clarity this gives.

I wish it came with a right-angle plug. That is probably the reason I don't use mine more often.

Hi Folks, What does it do? I do not like screaming guitars and prefer: a sweet sounding tone, not too bright but more of a mellow sound similar to that produced by people like Mike Johnston or is that just shear professionalism? JAMES TAYLOR Smile Smile Smile

Hi James,
Li'l Izzy is a simple buffer; a noise-free circuit that converts your guitar's output to low impedance. It doesn't add or take away anything from your guitar's signal, but protects the string separation and overtones that make a steel guitar so pleasing.

There have been numerous posts regarding Li'l Izzy: http://bb.steelguitarforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=246517&highlight=

If you would like to hear one, Gary Carter recorded his CD using a Li'l Izzy, and he also used one on the more recent Marty Stuart tv programs. Regarding Mike Johnson. . . He'd sound great regardless!

Thank you James, and best regards,
