The Gulfport Steel Guitar Show is off to a really good start with the line up of players and musicians, fans and friends. We will have a very special program on Saturday afternoon, 3 to 4pm, featuring JIM VEST, steel guitarist supreme, playing songs that he recorded with Vern Gosdin. Jerry Jaye, rockabilly Hall of Fame member, will vocalize these songs along with Country Jack Harper. Alabama's Hall of Fame steel guitarist.Jack Goodson. will assist with the violin duties. Gene Breeden, Hall of Fame guitarist,along with Roy Rosetta, Corky Tittle, will make up members in the band. It will be impossible to keep Thumb PIcking Award Winning guitarist, Bob Saxton, off this stage to solidify this phase of our fun times.
Show is Nov. 6 & 7, VFW 15206 Dedeaux Rd., Gulfport, Ms. Phone number there is 228 832 0017. Food will be by VFW menbers at a nominal price. Admission is $10.00 at the door. Children under 15, free. Show starts at 5pm on Friday and at 11am on Saturday. My phone number is 228 832 6454.
