As a service to people who purchased my book (or will in the future), mp3 audio files are now available for you to download for almost every exercise and musical example. These MIDI-generated files, while not exactly close to the sound of a steel guitar, will let you hear how the music and rhythms are supposed to sound.

PLEASE NOTE: Unlike my arrangement books, there are mostly no performance aspects to some of the files. Many are very flat, with none of the slides, vibrato, etc. that make steel playing so vibrant. Their intention is just to allow you to hear the basic notes & rhythms. This is a free download for people who own the book but the files are password protected. If you didn't get an email from me, PM me for the link and password.

Andy this is awesome! I meant to ask you if you had any such thing available, and you answered me before I ever asked! This will be a huge help to me. Since I'm mostly a self-taught hack, some of the rhythms of the exercises I had a hard time reading. Thanks!

You're welcome! I find reading rhythms is constantly challenging. I often have to take a bunch of tries to get a measure right 'cause 3rd grade fractions don't come easy to me.
