I carry a spare E9th and C6th set, but rarely break a string. I change strings fairly often and that avoids metal fatigue. |

I always carry a spare set of strings, even though I've never needed them for steel.
My band wants me to bring a back up steel, and I probably will start. At least for the larger venues. _________________ "Don't be mad honey, but I bought another one" |

It was so seldom that I ever broke a string on my EMMONS.....I normally didn't worry about replacements.
Just before my retirement, I started carrying an extra G# string, then a couple of them and during my last years, a complete set of both tunings.
String breakage truly was NEVER a PROBLEM for me.
I credit the guitar for this factor. |

i rarely break strings anymore. no idea why that is.
i carry at least a replacement for everything generally and maybe a couple of 10, 14, 17, 20,
which are what i use. |
